Meet Juliette – Homing Pigeon Project

You’re an urban food mapper, a university lecturer and have a little 7 month old boy, what are you making at the moment?…..

There seems to be continuous struggle to find a name for all the things that I do – my partner calls me a social sculptor as through my expertise in consumer behaviour I try (or should try) to manipulate, transform and inspire!

But I call myself a historian as I don’t believe any of the projects that I’m working on are new or original. believe I’m merely repackaging it up and displaying it in new light.

Meet Terry Paton – He’s got a personal goal to make 100 games

You have a goal to create 100 games, and you have already made 98!…..

Yep, but I’d like to clarify that the 100 games relates to games made for me, I’ve made 98 for myself, but I’ve also made another 49 for various clients. Most of my personal games were made in the hours after my full-time jobs, a couple of hours a night … for around 6 years.

For the last year I now work for myself at home, so I’ve been able to accelerate my development and up the quality recently.

Meet Brendan & Andrew – Level Designer & Programmer on Strength in Arms @ Freeplay

GAMES We met up with Brendan and Andrew at Freeplay, they spoke to us about their game Strength in Arms, which is their 3rd year major project for the Games Degree at RMIT. WEB & MOBILE Roman Nurik recently posted this video on youtube which shows a sweet example of HTML5 drag and drop to create an Android App Icon creator – Using HTML5 canvas, Drag + Drop, and the File API… you can create Android app launcher icons by simply dragging and dropping!
